Rushing Phi Kappa Theta

Picture
Belmont Abbey students showing interest in joining Phi Kappa Theta are invited to attend either of two our Rush Presentations during the course of the academic year. At the beginning of each semester, Belmont Abbey’s Greeks invite perspective members to check out the three fraternities on campus. Each group gives presentations about their organization, giving students the chance to see which group is right for them. Rush allows students to meet the brothers of Phi Kappa Theta, and hear personal stories about how brothers found the organization, and reasons why different members joined. If students find that they are interested in joining and the brothers feel that the student would be a beneficial addition to the fraternity, a bid will be sent out explaining further steps that need to be taken.

Why Rush?

WHY Rush Phi Kappa Theta?

Through your journey in Phi Kappa Theta, you will find that you have a relationship with your brothers that goes beyond friendship to reach the status of brotherhood. Fraternities espouse brotherhood and yet, the concept of brotherly love expressed in Phi Kappa Theta eludes many in society. The idea of Brotherhood is a responsibility taken on by all of its members, and a Privilege earned once initiated.

The Alpha Rho Chapter of Phi Kappa Theta exemplifies our four ideals (Fraternal, Intellectual, Social and Spiritual) through Community Service events with our National Philanthropy – The Children’s Miracle Network; Social Events on Campus and with our Sister Sorority – Epsilon Sigma Alpha; and other events throughout the year that build strong bonds between Phi Kappa Theta brothers and the community.
